EX30
The smallest Volvo. The quickest, too.
The EX30 is Volvo's answer to a question everyone kept asking: can an EV feel like a Volvo without being oversized? The result is a compact, playful, Scandinavian-minimal SUV that also happens to be the quickest production Volvo ever built.
From the mid $40,000s

The three things I’ll say about the EX30 first.
The quickest Volvo ever
0–60 in 3.4 seconds in Twin Motor Performance trim — and it never announces itself.
Recycled and renewable materials
Denim scraps, flax, and recycled PET make up the interior. It looks and feels intentional, not preachy.
One screen, done right
A single 12.3" center display controls everything — with a genuinely thoughtful interface, not a Tesla-clone.
Built on a new small-EV platform, the EX30 is 166 inches long — smaller than an XC40 — with 0-60 in 3.4 seconds on the Twin Motor Performance version. Inside, it strips away buttons and side displays for a single, beautifully organized center screen.

The numbers, briefly.
“The EX30 is my recommendation for anyone dipping a toe into electric. It's small enough not to intimidate, quick enough to make you smile, and priced honestly. Charging setup is where most people trip up — ask me first.”

About the EX30.
How practical is the range?+
In Northern Virginia weather, plan on 200–220 mi of real-world range. Perfect for a week of commuting plus an evening out.
Can it road-trip?+
Yes, but I'd choose an EX40 or EX90 if you drive to Charleston or Vermont regularly. The EX30 is at its best as a daily driver.
Home charging setup?+
A basic Level 2 charger installed in your garage adds ~30 mi per hour. I'll refer you to the electricians my clients trust.
